How is this art specifically seen in the community?

This art is on display at the American Visionary Art Museum. It is a part of the gallery called “Healing and the Art of Compassion (And the Lack Thereof)” It can be seen as a contributing factor of an art exhibit dedicated to visually depict what physical and mental health means and how compassion is a defining factor.

How do you think the art has made meaning in the community?

The art explains to the community that compassion is what improves, schooling, policing, hospital care, etc. The quality is improved and changes circumstances that may seem upsetting of depressing. Baltimore is known for high crime rates and poverty. Compassion can be a healing factor.
