How is this art specifically seen in the community?
The art is seen as a symbol of freedom, creativity, and social justice. Along the walls of graffiti alley you can see various types of arts ranging from purely artistical standpoints, to social matters such as BLM, and other related topics.
How do you think the art has made meaning in the community?
The art in graffiti alley has allowed people to shed more light on social injustice in more peaceful ways (through art). While getting the point across, it allows others to view the pressing matters of the community through a different perspective. Furthermore, it is also used as an area where people seek to expand upon their artistical skills, which allows an individual to express their creativity and uniqueness through art, which in turn brings more positivity, and life to the surrounding area/community.
